“I can feel the
excitement and anxiety
of this life-changing
adventure. I love it!”

- Suzanne -

“You brought me right into the experience and I love a writer that brings me in.
Well done!”

- Tamica -

Real, raw, and emotionally stirring, The Truth of Chasing Rainbows follows an ordinary suburban woman’s unpredictable journey toward a new sense of freedom. In pursuit of a mid-life adventure, far from the conveniences and trappings of a North American lifestyle, she dares to imagine something different — something more.

Anne Beaudoin’s bold decision to leave everything that was familiar tests the boundaries of her fate when she immerses herself in a tiny rural community tucked in the remote mountains of Costa Rica. Beaudoin weaves us through the joys and tribulations of moving to a Spanish-speaking country while co-owning a natural trout farm and a rustic bed-and-breakfast — with zero experience.

This witty, fast-paced memoir will strike a chord
among daydreamers and adventure-seekers.

About the author…

Anne Beaudoin is a Canadian memoirist whose writing explores identity, survival, reinvention, and the challenge of learning to live honestly within one’s own life.

Her work is shaped by adventure, upheaval, rebuilding, and the years spent co-owning a trout farm and a rustic bed-and-breakfast in the remote mountains of Costa Rica.

A graduate of Sheridan College’s Creative Writing Program, Anne is the author of The Truth of Chasing Rainbows and is currently working on her next memoir.

When she isn’t writing, Anne can often be found hiking, enjoying game nights with her adult children, having coffee with girlfriends, or slowly transforming a vintage 1984 Dodge Ram Roadtrek II named Stan into a road-tripping van.
